DANIEL BODDAM-WHETHAM - Creative Director
Daniel’s search for
beauty and his respect for people and place, is routed from his upbringing,
where family values were instilled with a love of interiors and
architecture.
At a young age family
trips where often taken to New York and the Amazon Jungle. The juxtaposition of
modernity versus primitive culture left a deep imprint in Daniel’s psyche. This
has developed into an aesthetic sensibility that often reinvents past
traditions, favouring the hand crafted and natural against a modern backdrop.
Daniel believes
timeless architecture is designed from the inside out. No detail is too small.
Each project is considered in great depth ranging from architecture, to
interiors and furniture. Focus and innovation are paramount in his designs.
Having studied
architecture in Sydney, Daniel moved overseas to Spain and London to broaden
his horizons in art and furniture design. During his time in London he worked
as an artist in London Bridge, establishing a working art studio and exhibiting
his art. In Sydney Daniel has exhibited work in the Tin Sheds Art Gallery and
Richard Martin Fine Arts Gallery.
Upon his return Daniel
began an apprenticeship with the family business where he built up the
technologies of the practice becoming creative director before taking over the
company.
Daniel's blog focuses on his latest projects, thoughts and opinions of
what's inspiring in the world of Architecture and Design.
