The Duck Street development is one of the first industrial developments in Australia to be endorsed as having a 4.5 green star rating.

The high rating was achieved by site decontamination, removal of stormwater channel with the development of linked ponds within the Riparian Zone of Duck Creek.

The construction followed green principles with large roof overhangs shading the offices, thermal roof insulation, natural ventilation and green services. The eleven 'modernist' industrial units form the two wings of the central access road. The local-species landscaped edges enhanced the habitat for the local flora, fauna and aquatic wildlife.
